Silly Bees & Sweet Woods

Celebrating the 400th year since Dowland

Come spend an evening with the OG heartbreak king, John Dowland, with selections from his Booke of Songes and Ayres I, II & III — plus some cute little numbers from his fellow Renaissance besties Morley & Farmer. 👀

Featuring the KL Madrigal Singers & Players, with period instruments including YS Tang on strings (Renaissance lute), Eunice Loh on winds (recorder) & Dr. Yi-Li Chang on bass (viola da gamba). 🎶

Renaissance jiwang. Come for the lute, stay for the emotional damage.

PROGRAMME

Selections from John Dowland’s Booked of Songes and Ayres 1, 2, & 3, and additional madrigals from Morley, Farmer & Byrd
